Meet the Guides

Beth – Hello, my name is Beth.  I am known as a “Half-Back”.  Born in Ohio, then moved and lived in Florida for 40 years, residing in North Carolina for the past 5 years now, half-way back and at home for good.  My mother is from Black Mountain and these mountains are in my blood.  I love Asheville with its rich history, architecture, and great ghost legends.  I have always been intrigued with the paranormal, it is one of my passions.  You could say it is a family affair, my 2 daughters and my husband of 30 years are all ghost tour guides.  My son and his family live in Asheville as well.  I have been employed with the ghost tours for 5 years and I am grateful to be doing a job that I love and guiding the tours is a great pleasure for me.  I look forward to meeting you and entertaining you and your family.

Jan – Hi, my name is Jan and I look forward to taking you on the Ghost & Haunt Tour of Asheville.  I absolutely love Asheville and everything about it–from its history to the beautiful mountains.  I moved here from West Palm Beach, Florida.  Everyone asks me if I miss the beach, but I don’t because the mountains are where I belong.  While in Florida I owned and operated a horse farm.  Now, in my “other life” I am a writer who writes about horses during the day, and horses around at night by mkaing sure everyone has a great time visiting Asheville and the Ghost & Legends Tour.  Please let me know you saw me on this website if I am priviliged enough to have you on my tour.

Jim – Originally a native of Massachusetts, I lived in Florida for 27 years before moving to the beautiful mountains here in Western North Carolina.  I work for a Chevrolet dealership as a technician and have for over 30 years.  Currently employed at Asheville Chevrolet during the day, I am your ghost tour guide at night and on the weekends.  I love being a ghost tour guide and I have always been interested in the paranormal.  I love the rich history and sites of the mountains and I plan to retire here in Asheville.  I hope you will come and explore Asheville on my tour and have a great time seeing the sites of Asheville’s great ghost and legends.

Melissa – My name is Melissa.  I have the best son ever, my angel, Alexander.  he brings so much to my life.  I have an awesome family.  My sweet parents Beth and Jim.  My undescribable sissy Racheal and her hubby Robbie.  Their most beautiful daughter Gwendolyn.  I also have a brother Tim and his new wife Debbie.  I love you all so much!  I was born and raised for 25 years in Naples, Florida and I have to say I love Asheville, North Carolina.  I am an Esthetician by day and your tour guide at night.  I have always had an interest in the unknown, so this is a fun job for me.  So come on and join me for a fun filled, exciting visit and tour here in Asheville.
